Lucy Holloway

Lucy graduated from University of Warwick in 2002 with a first class BSc in Mathematics and Physics. She qualified as a European patent attorney in 2007 and as a Chartered patent attorney in 2008.

Since joining Serjeants in 2022, Lucy has largely focussed on the drafting and prosecution of European and International applications in the field of reduced risk products. Prior to that, Lucy worked in the hi-tech team of large Midlands-based IP firm, providing commercially focussed patent advice to clients of all sizes. Lucy is comfortable operating in a wide range of technical fields, and has successfully obtained patents for cutting-edge developments originating from local Universities as well as for simple mechanical innovations made both locally and overseas. She enjoys working with overseas attorneys to secure patent protection in UK and Europe for clients unfamiliar with the nuances of European patent law, and has extensive experience answering obscure legal queries from overseas associates.

Outside work Lucy enjoys hiking, cycling and yoga. She also loves to travel, although for the time being her new young puppy has mostly restricted her adventures to the UK.
